Latino Movies. Get Inspired & Go MAKE em!

Actors, Directors, Producers…oh my!
Paul has posted about our experience at NALIP over the last couple of days. NALIP is the National Association of Latino Independent Producers. Latino Hispanic producers form all over the world come to be encouraged and educated on film and television industry trends.
The positive energy was overflowing as I got to spend part of my day with one of my favorite actresses (Yareli Arizmendi) and her husband (Sergio Arau). I am not a name dropper but this couple simply BLOWS my mind when it comes to art and social change. Yareli and Sergio Arau, are currently co-directing a documentary based on the Juan Gonzalez book, HARVEST OF EMPIRE. I sat in while stars like Wilmer Valderrama eloquently answered questions about their experiences with the American dream. I won’t go into too much detail except to say that sitting in the same room with these filmmakers for an hour was as just as educational as my college poli-sci class and waaaay more fun.
I interviewed Franc Reyes and the director one of his next projects Fransisco Ordonez.
I met tons of up and coming SUPERSTARS and I’m still on fire.
The bottom line. There IS a way. Be Creative. Be Brave. Don’t give up!
Look for our interviews. You won’t want to miss them.
