Scarecrow in Ozlandia
From the Ozlandia series -
Mente de Maíz reimagines the Scarecrow through cultura—
where fields hold ancient memory,
and even silence has something to teach.
Among the golden rows, the crows gather.
Not as enemies—
but as witnesses.
They circle, they watch, they return—
carrying fragments of story, instinct, and knowing.
What was meant to guard becomes something else:
a mind in the moment.
Made of harvest and history,
he stands between corn and husk —
not straw, but awareness.
Because wisdom isn’t always spoken.
Sometimes, it arrives on quiet wings.
In stillness, the mind awakens.
